Even how advanced is our world today, there are still people who live in a subhuman way. The family De los Santos is just one of them, a very poor family residing at Brgy. 40 Bacolod City.

Upon hearing their story told to us by one of our classmates, our hearts melt in sadness. So, we decided to adopt them and provide them whatever we can afford in our own little way.

The BINYAGAN 2011 is one good way to help them also in baptizing their youngest child. A shy but still smiling family De los Santos approached us. We can really feel their anxiety upon entering the school. Looking everywhere, just like examining every part of the school. But as time goes by, we could already feel their belongingness because of their smile. A smile that' worth all the sweats and hardship in the preparation of the event. We could even hear the pounding of our hearts when we gave our small Christmas gift to them and when they answered the sweetest THANK YOU. Surely, this is a one great experience that we could never ever forget!

There was a family who lives happily in a certain community. Though they are not rich but still they have a lot of friends and neighbors who are supporting them especially when their child was baptized at UNO-R. When we went to their place, it was raining but still they warmly accepted and welcomed us to their small and humble house. It only shows that even when you’re poor and have limited things in life, just trust God, and he will never fail you. Just like this family, they never think of problems, instead they’re just welcoming and understanding it. For as long as they are together, they’re just loving every moment that they have and simply enjoying it. For as long as God is with us, no one can defeat us.
